ibululu management consultants was founded in 2001 by Ronnie Borain offering broad-based strategical expertise across the nexus of technology, media, communications, and security.

Early clients included:

  • ETV for whom ibululu designed and produced a monthly broadsheet supplement called "E24/7" published in The Star, The Cape Argus, and The Daily News
  • The IEC for whom ibululu provided secured transport of ballot papers for Mozambique
  • YFM for whom ibululu provided journalism training systems, the daily features "Today in History" and "Y'ography", and produced the background material for the station's coverage of the death of Nelson Mandela

Ronnie passed away in 2015. Following the winding up of his estate in 2018, the company passed to the family of Ronnie's goddaughter.

ibululu today continues to provide "uncommon sense communication".
